Volunteer Opportunities

National Cherry Festival Touchstone Energy Junior Float
Our church school will be building a float to participate in the parade on Thursday, 9 July. We are in need of someone with a truck that is willing to pull the 14’00” aluminum boat and trailer that will be Noah’s Ark for us. We are also in need of 4 adults to carry the banners in the parade representing the church school and our Taste of Greece dinner. Thanks to Nikki
Sobkowski who donated the paper needed to wrap the boat. We are still in need of workers and children to ride on the float and wear the animal hats and costumes that identify them as residents of the Ark. Watch this space in the near future for float prep information. Persons interested in helping on this project are encouraged to give their names to Holly Olszewski or Fr. Iakovos.

Our neighbors down the street at Fr. Fred are asking for volunteers to provide clerical support in their office. The office is located at 826 Hastings Street. Volunteer hours are entirely flexible between Tuesday and Friday. This particular position requires phone answering skills and assistance on various clerical projects. Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications software is helpful, but not required. Please call Martie Manty at 947-2055 for more information or to volunteer. Our parish has been a strong supporter of the outreach and community service functions of Fr. Fred Foundation. Why not use this as an opportunity to “pay it forward” for yourself?
