PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

Tuesday, July 10, 2007
Call to Order:
Parish Council meeting called to order at 5:35 p.m.
Members Present:
Chuck Bethea, Dwight Demitz, Karen Kain, Doug Partlo, Harriet Rennie, Dennis Stavros,
Katerina Stavros, Bob Underwood, and Judy Weston.
Opening Prayer:
Father Iakovos led the assembled in the opening prayer.
Approval of the Minutes:
A motion by Karen Kain, seconded by Doug Partlo to approved the minutes as presented.
Motion passed unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report:
Father Iakovos reported that we have hired the A. L. Mitchell & Associates firm to handle all of
our books. They should have a report for the next meeting.
M 72 Property:
Our site plan was presented to the _________ township zoning board. We were told that five
acres was not adequate to handle what we were proposing. It would be necessary to purchase
more land. A motion by Bob Underwood to not pursue purchasing the land at the present time,
seconded by Karen Kain. Motion passed unanimously.
2007 Budget:
Harriet Rennie reported that the budget committee would be meeting next week to finalize the
2007 budget to be presented to the Metropolitan.
Choir Conference:
Dennis & Katerina Stavros will be attending the National Choir Conference July 21 & 22
in Columbus, Ohio. They will be paying for all of their expenses. The TCOMC will pay for Mr.
Stavors’ admission to attend.
Hastings Street Property:
Mrs. Rennie reported that we will be paying $600 per month rent for the next 6 months. The
following six months we will pay $700 per month.
General Assembly:
A proposal by Bob Underwood, seconded by Doug Partlo to hold a General Assembly on
Sunday, August 26, 2007. Motion passed unanimously.
By-law Committee:
The by-law committee will meet later this week and finalize the parishes by-laws. They will be
emailed to all members of the Parish Council. We will make any adjustments and the by-laws
will be presented to all members to be voted on at the General Assembly in August.
Taste of Greece:
Bob Underwood reported that the Taste of Greece is right on track and we are in the final stages
of preparation.
Closing Prayer:
Father Iakavos let the assembled in the closing prayer and the meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
